What a beautiful goblet! However, the vase to its right caught my eye even more. Do we know the maker of that piece? I particularly liked the urns, and the arches and columns engraved on the piece.

Here’s One Answer to Michael Krumme’s Question

It was at the close of a most exhausting day at two museums that I recognized this stem in a section of the Met I don’t believe having previously visited. At that point we were on our way out and I did not pay much attention to the surrounding objects. I suspect it was in a display of New York State engraved items and may well be a Sinclair or related production. It is related to the vast quantity of exceptional items Stevens &Williams produced called rock crystal. I do recall it was situated nearby the celebrated Tiffany chrysanthemum vase which is the most important enamel work ever done by Tiffany studios. Candidly, viewing that object was so overwhelmed as to render one unable to focus upon anything else.
