I’ve been collecting Limoges mugs for a number of years now to accommodate my morning coffee. All have been of the hand painted variety from the late 19th early 20th century, until I saw this one on eBay a couple of months ago. The decoration was black with tarnish until cleaned up after I received the piece. It is in mint condition, and the silver overlay is done very well with no missing areas or peeling. It is now currently my favorite morning coffee mug! I can’t find any company markings on the silver but wanted to show folks that not only beautiful silver overlay was done on strictly glass pieces.

Enjoyed the Flickr presentation. Was looking for my interest of French dressing bottles and car vases. I viewed all photos and found a few car vases which were recorded in the archives. I was impressed with the #453 (2689) gold aurene on page 13. I think the Roycroft bracket should be added with the (2689) listing. Many thanks, James Drumright

Tiffany Glass Mosaics

In the lecture Kelly Conway, curator of CMOG’s American Glass Collection, gave Thursday night at The Huntington she indicated that additional information was posted on CMOG’s website, including some supporting videos which she used Thursday night.

Dan and I were particularly impressed with the Dream Garden that was installed in an office building in Philadelphia. 15 feet high by 49 feet long!
