Off to NYC
Alan,
Last weekend Stacy and I had the pleasure of taking a short trip to New York City. One of our reasons for visiting the city was to stop by the glass shops on Madison Ave. We found many beautiful stores, Baccarat, Lalique, Macklowe Gallery, and Lillian Nassau. We would like to express our gratitude to Arlie Sulka of Lillian Nassau, LLC at 220 E. 57th St. for spending so much time with us and showing us some of the rarities that she has acquired over their many years in business. This was a true treat for Stacy and me and I’m sure it would be for any of our club members. So if you’re in the City and stop by Lillian Nassau, please introduce yourself to Arlie as a Carder Steuben Club member. We spoke in depth with Arlie about our club and she was very familiar with many members and is an avid reader of the Gazette. She enjoys many of the articles and was even up to date on the Red Flambe discussions. After the $40 parking fee, the Friday night traffic, and the overall hustle and bustle of NYC, we still enjoyed our trip. We recommend that other members check out the many glass shops and be sure to stop in and say hi to Arlie at her beautiful store. She was also aware of the high quality Symposium that the club puts on yearly and said that she would love to attend one day when her schedule allows. We hope to see her at an upcoming Symposium.
Thank you New York, we will be back soon.
