Sending the Monday edition out a bit early because it may be a few days interruption until I get off the high seas of the Atlantic Ocean.
We’ve received the following anonymous story.
It could be an old wives’ tale, but I remember many years ago when the new Museum opened, that you entered from the door nearest the “back” parking lot and went up a long ramp and then turned right to enter the Museum proper. On the side wall as you ascended was at least one display case and, at one time, it held what was thought to be Rouge Flambé. I heard that a shelf collapsed and many of these precious pieces were shattered. More’s the pity since so few pieces survived. This was hushed up and I don’t believe the story ever got to the public. Anyone else heard this?
