ACB Jeopardy
Susan Craigie of Richmond, VA shares this sad tale:

December of 2009 was not our best year. We had a devastating fire in our garage which was attached to our house via a breezeway. The fire destroyed the garage, fortunately, our house survived (smoke damage, exterior siding had to be replaced….. ugh!).
We lost one piece of our Steuben Glass Collection: Photographs are from December 2009.
BE CAREFUL !!!

Cire Perdue
Debbie Tarsitano of Westford, Massachusetts, who presented the Cire Perdue process at the last Club Symposium, shares these comments on what is next:

Hi Everyone! Happy New Year 2014 hope you find lots of great glass this year! I just started to complete one of the pieces I began in the demo in Corning last September. It is Cire Perdue folded flag impressed with the names of Corning’s fallen. As you recall Carder’s cast war memorial, I wanted to make a modern memorial to the men from Corning that gave their lives in recent Middle East conflicts. It all comes out of the kiln today and I will send progress photo’s later. I think Carder would be proud.

All the Best,
Debbie Tarsitano
