NOT ABOUT–LIGHT JADE BLUE
On a whole other subject. For those who attended the Symposium, the chairman of the event, Scott Hansen has sent you a survey. 50% of attendees have responded. A terrific response, right? Right, but not enough for Scott. Scott would like to go past the 50% mark. If you attended, and didn’t respond to the survey please place it in the mail today. By week’s end Scott would like to tabulate the results and report on it. These survey results have been taken seriously and have lead to continuous improvement.
At this year’s Symposium all attendees received a glass memorial plaque the Club had prepared to memorialize the late Bob Rockwell. If you are a Club member and didn’t attend your household should receive a plaque in the mail this coming week. If you aren’t a member of the Club you can get one by joining the Club. President David Goldstein reports.
The Carder Steuben Club has prepared a limited edition of mementos of the late Robert F. Rockwell, Jr., the man who was the driving force behind the collecting Carder Steuben. Bob developed the world’s greatest collection of Carder Steuben..He donated most of his collection to the Rockwell Museum, and it is now on display at the Corning Museum of Glass.
Members of the Carder Steuben Club should have already received their mementos. A maximum of 20 new members who join before January 1, 2010 will also be given these mementos. No additional mementos are available or will be made. The memento is a Cobalt Blue glass medallion with a bust of Bob Rockwell and a Steuben vase.

or use the attached form. If you don’t already belong to the Club becoming a member supports a great cause. Be part of it. Not only that, but you assure yourself of getting a continuous stream of these Gazettes, but also get a membership in CMoG, discounts on any books or glass you buy at their Market, in person or online. For $35 per year the value doesn’t get any better. So, support the cause of Frederick Carder.
