Issue 1645
Webmaster Marshall Ketchum sends this along
Colorless Decanter
#7625
15 inches high
Attached is a photo of a 7625 colorless decanter that is 15 inches tall. Shape 7625 was designed very late in the Carder production and about 100 numbers from the known end of Carder production. This one has a grooved cut decoration and it is unknown if they were all made this way. The existing factory records are no help as they only have the drawing and no textural description. This is the only one I have seen.

New Feature
The new platform for the Gazette allows us to do additional things. On the left hand side you will see a Carder piece of glass sent to us by webmaster, Marshall Ketchum, along with some of his observations about the piece. If you click on the picture you’ll be directed to www.cardersteubenclub.org website where the piece is shown in the shape index, along with the factory records report on the piece. This gives you the opportunity to just see and learn something about yet another Carder creation. Or, you may reply to this e-mail with thoughts, observations or questions that may help us understand more about the piece or some aspect of the piece of glass. It also allows you to do the same thing. That is send a picture, or point out a picture of a piece of glass on the Carder Club website and comment. All we ask is that you send the shape number so we may coordinate it with the website’s shape index.
John Styler’s speech accompaniment.
Alan, I was doing a PowerPoint for another organization I serve on and got so excited about the success I was having I did one on the Carder Gallery. With all the “talk” on what this or that museum has I wanted to show what a great collection the Corning has, I hope you can open it.
