Sidney Waugh was Chief associate designer for Steuben Glass Works from 1933 until his death in 1963. As a sculptor, Waugh received many awards. Among his sculptural commissions were works for the United States Federal Court Building, Washington, D.C.; John Hopkins University; and the United States Battle Monument in Florence, Italy. Over the years, he designed both the form and the engraved decoration for many important pieces of Steuben glass, including the timeless Gazelle Bowl.

I have used her research to find examples of Steuben glass in the collection of the Museum of Fine Art, Houston. Scott Hansen
