Covered Luminor in Calcite with Pulled Feathers of Gold, Ruby and Blue
Calcite and Aurene Colored Glass
Although this is called a luminor, it takes the shape of a common covered vase form used often in Steuben’s productions line. The soft light that emanates from the luminor highlights the pulled feather glass technique used to embellish this work.
Technical note: The word “luminor” is a play on the word luminary or a celestial body that give off light
