1)Edna Sjuligoj of Pittsburgh suggested:

Thank you to Charles Sweigart for suggesting that we write to Schiffer Publishing. I have done just that. Wonder what kind of answer I will receive. Edna

2)This is Edna’s letter to Schiffer

Hello,
Now that Steuben Glass has closed, when can we expect a new book on Steuben Glass. We had been waiting for the book that Bob Mueller wrote, which was supposed to be made available shortly, but have since found out that it is not scheduled for publication. There are many who have been waiting for a new Steuben Glass book. Hopefully whatever the hold up is will be resolved shortly.
Thank you,
Edna Schuligoj

3)Then, here is Schiffer’s answer

That publication has been place on hold.

Schiffer Publishing

Next, John Styler of Prospect Heights, Illinois responds to the self publishing suggestion.

I agree with the comments by Marna. I have a friend who has self published her first two medical books. She had success in distributing but the expense was overwhelming. Her next three and the current one are in the hands of a publisher. I spoke to her about Bob’s matter and she strongly suggested he stick with a publisher in the current financial market.

Finally, Judy Morton of Newburgh, Indiana sets the tone for the holidays.

Dear Friend and Newsletter Editor,

Thanks Alan for the CBS special featuring the closing of the Steuben Glass company after 108 years. It is sad but what a stunning legacy remains Throughout the world to the testament of the shinning accomplishment Of the men and women who made such beautiful objects for thousands Of people to enjoy each time the glass is viewed and marveled at the Techniques and stunning results. I am thankful to have some of the Beautiful objects in our home to touch and see and serve as an inspiration.

These objects represent the good things of life and add to the joy of living.

Sincerely, Judy Morton, Newburgh, IN. Dec. 8, 2011.
