The Most Powerful Lord of The Jungle
In the 20’s and 30’s there was one place where each (car) manufacturer placed the most triumphal mark of his mechanical and productive prowess–the hood–with a distinctive emblem. These were of bright metal usually. Mr. Carder chose to replace this with a design in glass.
…apparently the idea was very well received (and) other individuals soon began requesting that one be made for them. The Pierce Arrow automobile which was manufactured in Buffalo, New York ordered many and were offered as an optional extra. The two glasses most supplied were Jade Green and Ivory.
