Boda
from Kevin McNamara of Kensington, Ct.
Alan, we have had and sold these pitchers before. They are from Sweden circa 1960’s and came in several colors. The artist is Erik Hoglund made for Boda .
There is an example of the glass and signature on this website www.studio1484.com .
Hope this helps solve this mystery.

Hello Rande: Gazette #2151 comment about shape numbers and date ranges…… I have a number of Carder pieces made 1904-1908 with Carder shape numbers in the 1000-1900 range – clearly documented. It appears to me that Mr. Carder used numbers in the 1,000 range for many special orders, blanks, limited runs, etc. in Steuben’s very early years.

Manley Book
from David Goldstein of Naples, FL
There is a footed Yellow Vase pictured as Number 49 on Page 58 of “Decorative Victorian Art Glass” by Cyril Manley. The description of it on Page 59 says “A simply-shaped vase, common to every glassworks in England. It is included here as an example of Richardson’s Yellow – each glassworks had its own colours which acted almost as a trademark.”
The colour of the pictured Vase is very much like the Pitcher in question. It is shinny and looks to be almost opaque.
