First, with regard to the save the date postcard and the image of a drawing on the card by Mr. Carder of the “Elephant Vase” done in 1862 Dick Stark tells us:
Webb produced a nearly identical elephant vase designed by Woodall in the 1880’s…sold in a pair.

Then from the Amato’s of Mequon, WI I love following the emails everyone is sending in. I was just on vacation in Monterrey California and stumbled on the best antique store with all top quality items. Trotter’s Antiques of 590 Lighthouse Ave. in Pacific Grove has the most incredible collection of Steuben, Tiffany glass and lamps, Durand lamps, Loetz, and many others old glass pieces that I have ever seen in an antique store. I had to purchase a Steuben calcite and Aurene bowl which was as pristine as I have ever seen. Had the most incredible time discussing glass with this knowledgeable lady. Keep the emails flowing.
