The last two days we featured an exhibit featuring a Jade Green Canoe. Scott Hansen of Stamford, CT notes:

David Donaldson commented in Tuesday’s Gazette on the post-blowing work necessary to finish the Shape 6515. That finished piece can weigh almost 10 pounds. Imagine the weight of the unfinished piece at the end of the blow pipe. The following examples of this shape can be found in the Shape Gallery.
