Issue 2153
To the membership, from Stephan Pescatore of Wakefield, MA
Thank you all for your feedback concerning my yellow pitcher. It was informative to read the comments and thank you Mr. Bly for taking the pro side. I had no firm belief that it was Carder but the quality of the glass, the quality of the workmanship, its translucence, and polished pontil said it was a quality piece so why not get the opinions of those who know.
I hope to attend the symposium this year and will bring my pitcher and figuratively roll it down the aisle and see who picks it up.
Again thank you all.
P.S. I read ever Gazelle Gazette I receive. I find the information extremely informative. Keep up the good work

Ed. response. Stephen, the informative information is a product of the many subscribers sharing their knowledge and experience with others. Keep it up.
Color Variation
from June Riccio of Alamo, CA
Enclosed is a picture of my Vase Shape 5010 in Mandarin Yellow. I do not discern any variation in color in this piece. Hope this helps everyone.
Manley & Shuman books
from Dianne Gregg of Potomac, MD
I checked my Manley Decorative Victorian Glass book, and did not find any yellow glass similar to the yellow pitcher. Both the Manley book and the Shuman book are known to have errors anyway.
