Made in the Shade

Wednesday we were asked for help in identifying a shade. Leigh Demrow of Janesville, Wisconsin suggests the parentage.

Alan, First lets narrow Jeremy Hayes shade down to either Steuben or Quezal. I could not find this exact Steuben shape. I have had this shape on a Quezal shade. Most Quezal shades are signed. The photo of the fitter rim is of no help. Jeremy needs to lightly run his finger around the highest part of the fitter rim. If it is smooth like the outside of the shade, it probably is Quezal. If it feels ruff or gritty it is probably Steuben. Since we are guessing, only hands on can say with more certainty. L.A.D.
