A Peek Behind The Curtain

Many years ago, long before security issues became an integral part of life, a person could tour the Corning Museum of Glass “warehouse.” This was where the Museum’s stash was kept that was not on display – shelves and shelves full of glass. Times have changed, and tours of the facility are no longer available. But Warren Bunn, CMOG’s Collections and Exhibitions Manager, has agreed to give attendees at the Carder Steuben Symposium “A Peek Behind the Curtain: Collections Management at CMOG.” Warren manages all aspects of collections management at CMOG, including registration, object handling, care and installation, digital imaging, lighting, exhibitions and loans. While we can’t see the stash in person any more, Warren will get us close.
