Looking to the Future

Hello from Al Bradtke

I read the latest blog from Lisa Ackerman with great interest. For those who are not aware, at the Carder Steuben symposium in September 2010 the board created a long range planning committee in an attempt to address the same problems that all glass collector clubs appear to be facing.

The board appointed Al Bradtke as committee chair and Lon Knickerbocker, Jim Barlow and Gerry Eggert as committee members. We are trying to gather any ideas or suggestions that anyone might have concerning the future direction of the club and any ways to increase both membership and participation. Once the committee has received and reviewed the suggestions, we will forward them to the board for consideration and possible implementation.

Please contact any of the committee members with your suggestions so that we can consider them for inclusion in our report.

We are at the brainstorming part of the process, so please let us hear from you.

We hope to be able to provide recommendations to the board at next year’s symposium if not sooner.

Thanks for supporting the club and we hope to hear from you soon.
