Let’s Try This

Issue 479

Rande Bly has been trying to identify all of the colored crystals that Mr. Carder developed. This requires an outreach to the entire Carder community. At the same time this requires a lot of dialogue which is of interest to a number of subscribers; but then many don’t share this interest. So, what we have done is create a web page on which we have posted “Yellows”, “Greens” and “Blues”. We’ve begun posting pictures of pieces and color identifications and providing the link to see it. When a picture of a piece is opened it may have some dialogue that Rande or others may post by replying to this e-mail address. Rather than go through all of the dialogue on this e-mail it will be posted for those on the web site for those who want to go to the link. So, here are the links to the first two pictures of inquiry that Rande Bly has raised. I believe that you can also respond with comments right then and there on the listing. So, let’s see if this process can work and we can develop and discover more and more of the colors.
Dark Emerald Green #775

"Moss" (Erickson's color name)Green Ribbed Vase with Ring Handles #2909
I also believe if you roam on the website and click on the main color items you can view the whole specter of development to date. We’ll see how this works.
