Alan,

I have not seen the gazette talk about upcoming glass shows that may be of interest to the gazette readership. Is there a club policy that prohibits the publication of this type of information? Answer—We don’t want to be promoting commercial ventures like specific commercial glass auctions or general antique shows; as contrasted with glass group promotions. As glass clubs struggle, it would make sense to inform our membership of upcoming buying events that may be of interest. Keeping people interested and engaged is best accomplished by enticing them to go to shows, auctions and presentations. With that said, I would like to mention a glass show that it is being held in conjuction with the CMOG in Corning. Please see the ad below and notice the mention of Steuben Glass in particular.
