SOMETHING SPECIAL

This is HGM Steuben No 45. I believe it is the best piece in our collection. The label says it is a Steuben 8 1/4″ vase in clear and pink in a trumpet form. It is signed on the side Frederick Carder. It is an Intarsia vase. From reading the Gardner book, I realize that it is amethyst and clear and not pink. According to Gardner, pink was not made in Intarsia. The picture is not the best but it is in the center position on the shelves where the two glass doors come together and is firmly anchored at this time.

This is Steuben’s Intarsia in Gold Ruby. It may be shape 7052 but many of the Intarsia pieces are in unique shapes. If in good condition it is a very valuable piece.
