Saturday, September 5 – Symposium registration fee increases
Tuesday, September 8 – Radisson releases reserved rooms not booked
Friday, September 18 – Comfort Inn releases reserved rooms not booked
Thursday, October 1 – Symposium starts with the New Collector’s Forum and Pizza Party

Carder Steuben Club

Hello fellow members

The Carder Steuben Club Symposium is taking place in Corning on October 1, 2 and 3 this year. It is probably not too soon to decide if you are going to put something in the auction. For those of you who may be new to the group we have an auction of Steuben or glass related materials after the dinner on Saturday evening. The Board has modified the ways in which you can submit items for the auction.

1. You can donate an item in which case the Club gets 100% of the proceeds.

2. You can enter an item in the auction with a reserve. If the item reaches the reserve and sells, you get 80% of the proceeds and the Club gets 20%. Note that this is somewhat different from the previous way of submitting an item with a reserve where the Club’s participation varied at and near the reserve.

3. You can participate in the results without using a reserve. You can put something in the auction and when it sells you get 80% and the Club gets 20%. This category is shown as NR below.

The auction is a good way to add something interesting to your collection and also allows you to offer your duplicates to another collector and help the Club at the same time.

You can bring your item(s) to Corning or send them to me. In either case, please fill out the form below and return it to me so that I know what to expect or simply email me with the same information.
