The 2,000 Milestone

Dear Alan,

This is somewhat overdue, but we wanted to add our thanks and congratulations on having passed the 2000 mark in editions of our Gazelle Gazette. We know it is a labor of love–with emphasis on the “labor” part!

The Gazette is the lifeline of our wonderful little Carder Steuben Club. We learn from it–about Carder’s work, his life and his glass, and about each other as collectors, glass scholars (at least some of us!) and Carder admirers. We are amazed almost every issue, we are amused at times, we are aggravated occasionally–which proves what a great job you are doing! Your persistence and dedication in putting together the Gazette shows your creativity and your fairness to those of us with varying points of view.

Whether members or just interested readers of the Gazette, we all owe you our lasting appreciation. Thank you so very much.
