Many important historical figures who’ve had a strong influence on art glass collecting. One that I’ve seldom heard much about are the couple Ray & Lee Grover, who have put out one of the older historical texts with a great deal of Carder Steuben coverage. I’ve had a question posed by one of our readers. See who may have dealt with him (Ray)…he had some of the most important Steuben pieces extant but it was not his favorite. they were obtained inadvertently and he did not appreciate them. That blue Cire Purdue….the silver overlay Tyrian with strange signature…the decorated Rouge Flambe, etc.
Might be interesting to hear from members who have some stories to tell on the Grovers.
