The Winterthur Museum & Country Estate in Winterthur, DE is exhibiting commencing Nov. 1, 2008 Feeding Desire: Design and Tools of the Table. This exhibit examines five centuries of European and American Dining through the designs and functions of eating implements. The exhibit is created and curated by the Cooper-Hewitt national Design Museum, NY (a branch of the Smithsonian). An article on this upcoming exhibit in Antique Week, October 20, pictures at p. 23 (presumably part of the exhibit, a setting of four pieces of flatware, “Designed by Frederick Carder (1864-1963) under the direction of Walter Darwin Teague (1883-1960). Manufactured by Steuben. Silver-plated metal, glass.”
