Ephemera–The List Is Long

Each year, the Librarians at the Rakow Research Library in Corning put their heads together and come up with a great idea for a presentation at the Carder Steuben Symposium. This year is no exception. While the Library is chocked full of great books on glass, it also houses ephemeral materials – drawings, templates, design specifications, advertising, batch books, photographs, scrap books, etc. The list is long. Regan Brumagen, Beth Hylen and Rebecca Hopman will provide a “Show and Tell” of some of the materials found in the Library that help to portray the stories of glassmakers and glassmaking. The program is entitled, “Paper Trails: Ephemera in the Rakow Research Library.”
