Some more thoughts on the color of John Styler’s prized acb.

While Light Blue Jade is almost always cased with a blue glass inside and outside with Flint White in the middle the Carder notebook in the Rakow lists a formula for Flint White and also a formula for “Flint White Blue” which almost certainly is the blue used for what we are now calling Light Blue Jade. The color in the photo cannot be Celeste Blue. While it is quite possible that the “Flint White Blue” could have been used with Alabaster I have not yet seen what I believed to be that combination.
