How many Carder Steuben collectors are out there? Recently, actually yesterday, a friend bid at a not well known auction house for some Carder Steuben. There were a number of pieces (maybe 20 or so) in the auction and this friend thought he would likely get a “steal”. Well, what do you know. There were plenty of bidders who found this auction and the pricing was just “fair”. This might suggest that there are plenty of Carder Steuben collectors. Hundreds? Thousands? How many? We have a e–mail list of over 300, but it is just sort of built happenstance. That is because there is no organized way to build a mailing list of Carder Steuben collectors we do the best we can. Seems there is a heck of a lot more than 300 collectors out there. Any thoughts on this and how to reach out to more?
