My Christmas Ornament Story

The first ornaments to be hung on my 12′ tree are my maternal grand mothers German violin and cornucopia then my paternal grand parents solid glass green grape and silver and gold balls, their so heavy they require the lowest branches to support then.

With 4 ornament containers of other ornaments I just won a beautiful box of 12 Shiny Bright’s for $2 at an local auction, as if we needed them.

Happy Hanukkah Susan & Alan, our dreidel ornaments were gifts from friends and prized.

From the Question of Whose Blanks Are These

The light green footed vase engraved Grapes by Hawkes has a profile similar to Sinclaire’s #13002-1/2 vase (Estelle Sinclaire Farrar Book II, page 110), however I think there is “too much of a stem” on the one shown in the Gazette for it to be a match. Examples of Sinclaire’s greens are shown in photos on page 28. It’s hard to tell from the small images, but the color looks to be closest to Light Olive.

I bring these similarities up for the sake of discussion; I don’t think it’s actually a match. Looking at the piece, I am just not seeing Sinclaire-level quality in the glass itself.
