In the Hearts and Minds of Steuben Collectors
I’m sorry I was unable to make the symposium, as it sounds like it was great with a lot of knowledge being imparted and a lot of fun having been had. One observation however is that in the photo posted in the Gazette a couple of issues back I could not help but notice a lot of grey hair. I took this as a reminder that just as in the rest of the antiques world, we need to continue thinking of (and acting on) ways of bringing younger collectors into the fold and passing onto them the vast knowledge, and love, of Carder glass that collectively is amassed in the hearts and minds of our members. Perhaps something for discussion with ideas.
