The Club’s annual Symposium has now ended. And, what a blockbuster program it was. Hopefully attendees will send us comments and make those who couldn’t attend jealous.

The last Gazette was an article from Rande Bly on Celadon. Keith Trippi has taken an exception to it and the fact the color hasn’t heretofore been identified.

The statement published in Gazette #1284 by Rande Bly that “As far as I know this color [Celadon] was not spoken of by Erickson, Gardner, Mr. Dimitroff, Marshall Ketchum, nor Mr. Rockwell in any books,” is prima facie incorrect. Tom Dimitroff’s book “Frederick Carder and Steuben Glass,” at pages 96 and 128, clearly refers to the heretofore undisputed Carder Steuben color known as Celadon. This fact can quickly be confirmed by reference to a thing called the “Index” at the back of that book.
