Hi Alan — Thanks for the info on the new direct route to Corning from O’Hare. For non-drivers in Brooklyn, I read that as subway to LaGuardia, LGA to O’Hare, ORD to Corning/Elmira, taxi to Corning; reverse. Has Uber gotten to the neighborhood yet? We live in hope. All the best

“Grapes”
Good morning to all, I think I spotted a Sinclaire amethyst candlestick recently on eBay that had a ‘Grape’ engraving and there was no connecting stem from the vine to the grape cluster, it may have been a Pairpoint (I don’t know!) as I do not collect either. Here are some “Grape” pictures of a Steuben shape #6034 and also a small finger bowl (signed but not sure of shape#) in Selenium Ruby that both show multiple stems from the vine to the grape cluster, I noticed in Gardner’s book on page 108 (I11.171) that shows a console set and the bowl (look closely!) looks to have the same connecting stems as my small finger bowl. The ‘Grapes’ pattern was also used on an ACB as shown on page 114 (I11.179) and shows only one stem connecting the cluster to the vine. This has been fun! Sincerely,

Q. How do you tell the difference between Pairpoint Grape engraving and Steuben Grape engraving?
A. Steuben Grape cluster look quite like the grapes hanging from the vines. The Pairpoint Grape have individual stems on each grape.
