Hi Alan,

I found this picture of Fry’s “Golden Glow.”

DeVilbiss expert Marsha Crafts of St. Port Lucie, Florida adds

Hi Alan

The bottle that David Schultz shows is a 1928 DeVilbiss display bottle. It is enameled on the interior of the clear uncoloured glass to give the appearance of coloured glass. It was enameled and sold in “Old Rose” as well as blue & green. If you look at the thicker glass at the bottom of the bowl, you can see the true clear glass. DeVilbiss used this technique on most/many of the 1925-28 bottles to get ‘coloured’ glass. The acid cutting & gilding was also done by DeVilbiss at their factory. Who made the blank is still uncertain. Marsha Crafts
