Issue 1111
Last week we sent you a Gazette reporting on seven glass clubs (however, not the Carder Steuben Club) holding a giant joint glass meeting this summer in Overland Park, Kansas.
Tommy Dreiling responded.
Alan – This is fantastic!!! My sister lives in Overland Park so I’ve just invited myself for a summer visit (I live in Brooklyn) If this convention goes well maybe we could help launch one here on the East Coast.
Tommy then goes on to another subject. The current Steuben glass company producing some glass products in Europe.
HI – Another question for Beth. Why is the stemware made in Germany and not Corning? – Tommy
Intuitively, I think I know the answer to Tommy’s question. Maybe we’ll get some interesting answers.
