The Rakow Library at CMoG is always available to assist with research on glass. The ever helpful, Gail Bardhan, clarifies a matter raised by Gerry Eggert in a recent Gazette.

Gerry Eggert recently asked why the plate designed by Georgia O’Keefe is not on display at The Corning Museum of Glass. This plate was one of 27 designs for the special exhibition
Collection of Designs in Glass by Twenty-seven Contemporary Artists. As of today, our museum owns 7 examples of the art in the exhibition – that by Sir Muirhead Bone, Jean Hugo, Moise Kisling, Paul Manship, Isamu Noguchi, Pavel Tchelitchew, Grant Wood, as well as a test block for the engraving of the design by Deli, but we do not own the plate designed by Georgia O’Keefe.
