the Gather Magazine

Hi, Alan

I think that it is great, and very generous, that CMOG “gives” Carder Steuben Club members an “automatic” (free) membership.

I especially enjoy receiving CMoG’s Gather magazine. Unfortunately, living on the “left coast” I am unable to participate in the various events at the museum and/or library. The photographs just published of the new addition/remodeling for the “Contemporary Art + Design
Wing” are wonderful. I am especially grateful that the “architectural profile” of the former Corning Glass manufacturing facility’s
“roof” was incorporated in the new design.

Generosity

Terry, the Club donates to CMoG out of the $35.00 individual per year’s dues a total of $2,000. For this all of our members become associate members of the museum. With this the museum co-hosts our annual meeting and symposium and makes available the museum’s fabulous facilities on a membership basis. While this may not directly help “left coast” members who can’t attend the Symposium, other than to receive the Gather magazine, support of both the museum and the Carder Steuben Club is a most worthy endeavor for those who continue to carry the torch for appreciation of art glass.
