Fun

There are lots of elements of fun at a Symposium. Something for everyone. I
hadn’t thought about it until I got the message below from Lon Knickerbocker,
but one of the fun things is the broad opportunity to acquire Mr. Carder’s glass
from any number of sources. One is Lon, another is through the Steuben Glass
Shop on Market Street operated by Beth Shaut. Also on Market Street is 94
West Antiques featuring glass sold by Tom Dimitroff. Then, usually Dick Bright
has some Carder glass at his B & B, where we’ll have pizza dinner Friday night.
On Saturday evening at our banquet dinner a high point is a large Steuben
Auction. Now, Lon will be selling from his room at the Radisson rather than on
Market Street as in past years. There may be other venues as well, including any
one of the other antique stores on Market Street. If there are others I should
know about, or if some may want to do sales like Lon at the hotel, just let me
know and I’ll, in turn, let everyone know. The point is, there will be lots of
Carder glass available for sale at all kinds of price points. Not so much Carder
glass and so much variety all in one place at one time anywhere else in America.

Hi Alan and all Carder Steuben club members,
Just wanted everyone to know I am no longer in Market St. antiques, the shop I have been in for the past 13 years. My schedule is quite hectic and Deb and I plan to be moving this fall. Several members have found out I left the shop and wondered if I still had items available for sale, the answer is yes. Deb

and I are planning on staying at the Radisson during the symposium and we will have many nice and some very unusual pieces of Steuben available with us in the room. Anybody interested in adding something nice to their collection may plan to meet with us. We will do our best to be available when symposium activities are not going on. I will include my cell phone # and my e-mail so interested members can contact us ahead of time. Well that’s the plan if something should change I will let everyone know. Hope to see some old friends and make some new ones,
LON
