Display Cases

We were asked about recommendations for display cases were scaled to home or apartment use. Several responses:

1. I would like to suggest for the display cabinets a cabinet maker that my family has used for years along with the Rockwell Museum. He builds from scratch and in any material that is specified. His name is:

4. I found a Deco-period glass and wood vitrine made in India years ago from a local shop specializing in importing not-terribly-chic (but totally excellent) import furniture. No, not Pier 1. The space is vertical of course, but otw the measurements are similar. I’ve also seen some good, reasonably priced display furniture at places like Doyle’s “At Home” sales.

Gazette Daily or Not?

We asked for feedback on whether the Gazette should be a daily newsletter, or less. Comments are welcome. Here are the first responses.

1. I always enjoy reading the Gazelle Gazette; however, you might want to cut back to two mailings a week, just so you won’t have to work so hard. But it’s a good discussion place for the members. I like the fact that it’s not always articles; it is opinions (and excellent pictures) and hence, a discussion group, as I said.

This is a goblet shape 5067 in Verre de Soie with Coral decoration. The factory records mention Coral being used only about a dozen times and the majority of the use seems to have been to decorate Verre de Soie.
