Ephemera & More

Aug 18, 2008
Issue 396

Al Bradtke & David Jacobson of Cayuga, NY are coming to the Symposium and bringing some
ephemera to share and some glass to sell:
Hello Alan –
I just sent in my registration for the symposium. I am bringing a group of four old photographs for the ephemera part of the program. Two of them depict Mr. Carder in his studio during his Cire Perdue period. The other two photos are of two different men and I am hoping someone will be able to identify them. I am also bringing a sketch done by Mr. Carder of an engraved design for a goblet along with what I believe are his comments.
Attendees at the Symposium have a number of opportunities to acquire Carder Steuben Glass.
Foremost, the Club will have a substantial sized auction. Typically, Dick Bright has some items for sale at his B&B where we’re having Friday night pizza dinner. Tom Dimitroff has items for sales, as does the Carder Steuben shop, both on Market Street. Then as we’ve reported Lon Knickerbocker will have some glass for sale. You can look him up at the Radisson.

Now from Al Bradtke & David Jacobson:
I will also be bringing along a selection of pieces from our collection that I will be offering for sale as we are doing some downsizing. I will not be arriving for the symposium until Friday morning, but I would be happy to send photos or make arrangements for anyone who might want to stop by our place on their way to or from the symposium. They can either email me at brajac1@aol.com or call or cell 607-760-8897 or our home number 315-252-0912.
