Sunday our Elegant Glass Club, which is how I got to know the venerable Joann Tortorolo, met at her house and then had a ‘field trip’ to the Historic Glass Museum in Redlands. I will attest that she has updated all the tags of the glass which has thus been vetted (or NOT vetted) by the club. She spoke glowingly of the help she has gotten from the CS Club. Thank you again to Marshall and others who have taken time to educate not only CS Club member Joann, but anyone in Southern California who comes to visit the museum. (Incidentally, if we have any Snow Birds who winter in Palm Springs, the HGM in Redlands is only about 30-40 minutes away and is open only on Saturday or Sunday.)

MARKS ON MODERN STEUBEN
It is interesting to note that two of the modern Steuben crystal pieces owned by the museum are not marked. Someone may want to spend a little time with them and look through a loop as sometimes the diamond point signatures are in an odd spot or very faint. I have had several pieces that I had to look at three or four times before I found the mark.
