First off, Fran Gabel gives a testimonial on Jenny Monroe’s Elderhostel on glass that was posted in Gazette #1089
I went to one of these classes two years ago . It was fabulous in terms of learning about glass. Jenny is an excellent coordinator. Tom gave a total of 6 hours of lectures. I would highly recommend these classes. Fran Gabel ,Morristown N.J.
Then more on Royal Purple. Marshall Ketchum ties together Steuben records and a piece of glass to definitively identify the color Royal Purple See

Norman Skolnick, of Toronto asks if someone can help him identify a piece of yellow jade glass. No, it’s not Carder’s Madarin Yellow.
Hello Alan,
Can I throw this item out to you. This was in a major collection of art glass in Chicago which I have bought a number of things from over the years. I believe it to be imperial yellow jade but stand to be corrected. It is only about an inch tall and two inches wide. Any thoughts?
