Another powerful auction. At least three important Steuben auctions this past few weeks. The
message seems to be that the best of any Carder Steuben category will command the best of
prices. Steve Early observes that Steuben, unlike most other categories can have a broad
assortment of glass and for the most part it will hold its own. Other categories easily get flooded with too many offerings. Steve sees a strong continuing audience for Carder Steuben.
We’ve photographed the Early auction that ended today. Many have not ever attended. So, there are a lot of photos posted showing the auction set up, the phones, cashiers, availability of glass for examination and just the general set up. After the first day of auctioning on Friday, Steve and his wife Paula host auction attendees to dinner at a very popular local restaurant. As you can see from the dinner photos this is an event well attended, and spirited with glass discussion. Always a good time had by all. The picture link is
