DEBBIE TARSITANO EXHIBITS AT THE SANDWICH MUSEUM
Transitional Glass – The Art Glass of Debbie Tarsitano
The Sandwich Glass Museum is proud to present the special exhibition, Transistional Glass, a restrospective display of the artwork of famed glass artist Debbie Tarsitano. Debbie has worked full-time as a hot glass artist since 1976 and is one of the pioneering women of the art glass movement. The exhibit, Transitional Glass, reveals how her work has evolved in both design and technique over her nearly forty year artistic career. From early oil paintings to hot glass techniques such as flamework encasement, hot sculpting, glass casting, and Pate de Verre jewelry, the exhibition is a timeline of Ms. Tarsitanto’s body of work.
Transitional Glass- The Art of Debbie Tarsitno will be featured in our Special Exhibition Gallery from August 1 – November 3, 2013.
Exhibitions and permanent collections: The Chicago Art Institute, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, special commission, Museum of Contemporary Crafts, New York, Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC to name but a few.
