In the just issued Glass Club Bulletin of the National American Glass Club (#215) historian and Carder Steuben author, Tom Dimitroff has an extensive feature article entitled “Corning Cut Glass: A Premium?”
The article focuses on Corning, New York’s rich cut glass heritage, how it became the “Crystal City” and the preservation of this heritage throughout the city. The article goes at length to discuss the recent finding of a catalog of premiums (e.g. cut glass) from a Corning grocery distributor. Now that’s some premium gift! Considerable illustrations of the catalog are included. Likewise a nice photo of some interesting cut glass whimseys belong to Tom Dimitroff. Kudos to you Tom for a well done and impressive article.
