One of the activities Saturday afternoon was a tour of Mr. Carder’s Corning, led by Tom
Dimitroff. One of the first sites was the CFA (Corning Free Academy). This school has been a
senior high and is now a middle school. As you may recall, Mr. Carder was a long time president of the board of Corning public schools. Tom Dimitroff taught in this building for many years. In the school you see a self portrait of Mr. Carder and some other artifacts. Look at the nice collection of art glass owned by and on display at the school. Wouldn’t it be a lovely collection for any collector?
