Kathy Soloman of Pepper Pike, Ohio sends along this blurb on the future of colored glass at Steuben as a follow up to the currently made red heart.
I spoke with someone at the Steuben store in NY to see where the heart had been made and was pleased that it had been done in Corning! I was also told that several classic bowls will be made in color debuting in the Spring. Indigo, smoke and lime green ( I think) are the three colors being used. Have you guys heard this?
Next, Beth Shaut of the Carder Steuben Glass shop adds this information on shapes in the 4000 series.
I would like to add that Mr. Rockwell told me years ago that he believed that the 4000 numbers were reserved for special orders and that they may be like another shape but reserve with the 4000 series as it was made for only one outlet or specially ordered.
