What’s Black and White and Fred All Over?
Find out at the Carder Steuben Symposium, October 11 -13, 2018. Member scientist and student of Frederick Carder glass Dr. Greg Merkel will provide the history, science, composition and nomenclature of Carder Steuben’s black, alabaster and opal glasses, including formulas from Carder’s notebooks and non-destructive chemical analysis of glass objects. Greg always has some interesting and sometimes surprising tidbits of information to share that will keep you on the edge of your seat!
