Casting Glass

from Debbie Tarsitano of Westford, MA

Hi All,

I understand the process and trials Carder went through it is a very difficult process. I showed it in my demo at the symposium. Today all materials for casting are readily available but the process is still very hard. I just finished a large casting at the CMOG studio using the carder process. It is amazing what is made in Corning today using the casting process which is very similar to casting bronze. Carder would be amazed. They have a great studio to cast and finish sculptural glass.

Here is a photo of my new work. The Dahlia is over 30 inches.

Best,

Debbie
