Issue 1695
Friday we reported that our Webmaster, Marshall Ketchum, has arranged permission with CMoG to get copies of their pictures of Carder Glass at the Carder Gallery at CMoG. Many, many wonderful pieces not found elsewhere. Marshall has been posting them on our website,
www.cardersteubenclub.org
Scott Hansen elaborated:
“Viewing the Recent Additions section of the Shape Gallery will only give you a taste of the CMoG photos that Marshall has been posting. Do a word search for “cmog” in the top box and you will see over 267 photos from CMoG that have been posted so far.”
Webmaster, Marshall Ketchum, also elaborates:
“We also have permission from the Rockwell Museum to post photos of their glass that are on the CMoG website. If someone wants to see photos of just the CMoG and Rockwell pieces that have been posted they can do a keyword search of “cmog” (without the quotes).

LAMP VASES
Two days ago Jo Ann Godawa asked a question about what happens to the value of an acid etched vase when it has been drilled for a lamp base.
“Alan, On the lamp verses vase, I like lamps better than vases, but I own a factory Lalique lamp made from a drilled vase, and signed R. Lalique on the side because the base is covered. This red “Ronces” vase can sell for up to $15,000, but the same drilled factory lamp tops out at $1500.00. I would think this 10% drilled vase formula would hold true for all art glass and pottery.”
