Cyprian Pair

Gardner’s Description

The Glass of Frederick Carder by Paul V. Gardner

p. 67

Cyprian is a pale greenish iridescent glass with a Celeste Blue ring applied at the rim. The blue rim is the only apparent difference between this glass and Aqua Marine, and it, like Aqua Marine, is frequently mistaken for Verre de Soie. Verre de Soie was often made with a turquoise ring, which also contributes to the confusion in identification. Cyprian was made at lest as early as 1915 and continued to be made into the 1920s.
